The sheer variety of products available here leaves one amazed. Take garments, for instance. Products ranging from the simplest of traditional handicrafts to international designer labels are all available here. Or take eating places – in them, you will find foods from all parts of India and several parts of the world. From roadside stalls to five star hotels, people who love food have a lot of variety to choose from. Then you have 24 hour chemists, large convenience stores offering every deal imaginable, large electronic stores, swanky multiplexes and shopping malls, the list goes on. You also have places like Lajpat Nagar and Sarojini Market which offer items at very reasonable prices.

Some of the areas in Old Delhi are well known for throughout India. Meena Bazaar is well known for the dazzling and reasonable collection of wedding dresses. Karim’s is an eating place that is famous for its Mughlai cuisine. Dariyaganj is known for its large number of bookstores.
New and emerging market areas are Saket and Vasant Kunj which have a large number of new and swanky malls. Greater Kailash and South Extension must be explored for western outfits as well as ethnic outfits. The satellite cities of Gurgaon and Noida are also endowed with a large number of modern shopping malls which are often frequented by people from Delhi. Gurgaon, in particular, has world class amusement parks, cinemas and fine dining places.
